Rodin has an official hosted MCP for Claude Code and Codex, and Blender MCP lets the agent clean, light and export the model. Setup, costs and the Hunyuan3D licence caveat.
01Why Rodin plus Blender
Hyper3D Rodin (by Deemos) generates 3D models from text or images and exports GLB/GLTF, OBJ, FBX, USDZ and STL, with plugins for Blender, Unity, Unreal, Godot and more. Generated models usually need a pass before they go in a game: scale, pivot, materials, polygon budget, naming. That is where Blender comes in, and with an MCP server for Blender the same agent can do that pass for you.

02Connect Rodin to Claude Code and Codex
Rodin runs an official hosted MCP server at https://api.hyper3d.com/api/mcp with OAuth sign-in, and documents both clients on its MCP page. Deemos also publishes an official Claude skill, rodin3d-skills.

03Connect Blender
The most used Blender server is the community mcp-for-blender (MIT, around 30k stars). It controls Blender, pulls assets from Poly Haven, Sketchfab and Poly Pizza, and can call Rodin, Tripo and Hunyuan3D itself. It sends telemetry unless you set DISABLE_TELEMETRY=true. Blender also has an official Blender Lab MCP server for Blender 5.1+, which warns that it runs model-generated code without guards — keep backups either way.

04Costs and licences
As of October 2026, Rodin’s free use is pay-per-download ($1.50 per credit), Creator is $30 a month and Business $120 a month with the full API. The pricing table lists the commercial licence under Business while the home page says it depends on the plan, so confirm with Hyper3D before shipping. Blender and Blender MCP are free.
If your pipeline uses Hunyuan3D (Tencent’s open model) through Blender MCP, read its licence: it excludes the EU, the UK and South Korea, and restricts displaying outputs there, which matters for a game sold worldwide.
05The full loop, sound included
Add SunoBoard as the audio step and the agent can take one prop from prompt to finished in-game object: model, cleanup, export and the sound it makes.
Use Rodin to generate a sci-fi supply crate. In Blender, decimate it under 5k triangles, set the pivot to the base, apply a 1 m scale and export a GLB to assets/props. Then use SunoBoard to make a metallic crate-opening sound effect and a short pickup chime, and hook them to the crate in the Godot scene.
